Weekly 10k/60 mins run done. I usually run in the morning on an empty stomach. Running in the evening with a full stomach was a struggle. Didn’t make progress today, but just doing the run was progress. Somewhere between maintenance and forward
Liquid chalk! Two weeks ago my grip failed on deadlifts. I’ve been practicing white knuckling my hanging leg raises for grip, and added in liquid chalk today, and voila, grip good enough to deadlift 117kgs. #deadlift #liquidchalk #grip #workout
Officially 10kgs down. #weightloss #cico #lowcarb #keto #macrofactor #hittingmacros
Day 32/100. Ran steady state today. Got interrupted by my four year old, hence the break while I made him breakfast, then back into it for a total of 42 minutes constant speed, then intervals for the rest of the hour. Running at 11 kph. Finding it&rs
It’s 36 weeks to August 2023. I get to run for an hour a week, so I’m wondering if at my age, at my current fitness, with my genetics and my work and family demands, can I improve my running speed by 2 kms per hour in 36 hours of training
So, this strategy feels like it will work for me. The goal is to run 10k at 12kph by August 2023, with one training session a week. Last week I ran at 11kph and got to 30 minutes before needing a break. This week I got to 33minutes, then took a break
Working on steady speed running. Got to 30mins before taking a break. Lots of little breaks after that. Running speed 11kph. I want to be able to cover 12kms in an hour, which is 10kms in 50 minutes, so instead of intervals, working on the speed over
Done. Did a 6min split back in June 2020. Hasn’t been quick, but progress is progress. 12th week in a row I’ve been running. Goal is a 5min split over 10ks. #running #treadmill #10K
Ran steady state today. Got to 21 minutes before having a break. Then lots of little breaks before finishing 11km in a hour. Closer to the goal of 12km in a hour. Fitness is a slow accrual of gains. #running #treadmill #10K
Minimum cardio done. 10k worth of intervals. Decided to drop the top speed back to 12, and keep running for the rest intervals cos the last couple of weeks I’ve been stopping for the rest intervals. It’s a hard run and I’ve got to b
This was a hard run. You can see the intervals where I stopped mid way. I suspect it is two weeks of averaging 70% of the sleep I need, and restricting carbs and calories.

On the upside, this was the tenth week in a row I ran 10K. Made it to 100kms
Took no effort today to stay in high coherence. An easy state of mind. 9 years of practice. #meditation #heartmath
Easily sustained periods of high coherence are so nice. 9 years of meditation practice. Whoop tells me 5 mins of meditation gives me 14 more minutes of REM sleep. Good for me all day long, good for me all night long. #meditation #hrv #heartmath
